Michaela really improved her sitting in January. She began to sit unassisted while manipulating toys all around her. One of our favorite games was to put all her small toys in the red bucket so she could take them out one by one, "taste" them, pass them from hand to hand, and sometimes "throw" (drop, roll, whatever:)) them. Another favorite game is "the elevator". Sean holds her under the butt so she is sitting in his hands, and then he raises and lowers her to different heights while she giggles. This is great flying time for Michaela, who is a real dare devil like her mom. It's also a good shoulder workout for her dad! Michaela also loves her Einstein jumper. She naps especially well after tiring herself out jumping. Michaela started solids at the end of December so in January she tried a bunch of new food. She actually liked all her vegetables and most fruits (except for apples and bananas surprisingly). At 7 months she measured 16 lbs. 3 oz (36%) and 26 inches (46%)
